Kathryn Parsons has spent more than a fifteen years helping Global 2000 leaders and governments understand, adopt and build with emerging technologies. She founded Decoded, creating the world’s most preeminent AI Academies and Apprenticeships for enterprise and educating more than one million professionals worldwide.

Today, Kathryn is an investor and company builder focused on AI, deep tech and technologies critical to building a safer, healthier and more resilient world. She is building the orchestration layer for AI talent & deployment with Nazare 🌊🏄, invests in founders including CloudNC, Lawhive & Callosum📈🚀 and is developing a WSJ Intelligence🧑‍💻🧠 series on AI & cognition.

She splits her time between UK and USA where she co-chairs GBx Global 🇬🇧🇺🇸, a community of 400 British founders and investors in the Bay Area whose companies raised more than $10 billion last year.

Kathryn studied Classics at Cambridge University, immersing herself in the languages of the ancient world before discovering those of technology. It followed a lifelong fascination with languages, studying Japanese, Mandarin, Italian and French.

Kathryn received an MBE for services to education, she successfully campaigned to establish computational thinking as mandatory on the UK national curriculum, and was made an Honorary Fellow of Downing College, Cambridge in 2026.
